  Welcome to Velvet Acres, my home in beautiful Colorado.  My name is Debbie Gesick, and together with my granddaughter, Morgan, we raise and show these wonderful little dairy goats.

I've been raising dairy goats for over 30 years, and have specifically bred Nigerian Dwarves since 1996.  My goal is to create a show quality animal with beautiful, correct mammary systems that milk.  Since the inclusion of Nigerians to ADGA, we now participate in Linear Appraisal.  This is an invaluable tool that has really helped in assessing and attaining my stated goal.

On my pages you'll find many of the does that are the cornerstone of my breeding program.  I'm grateful to have been given the privilege to be able to acquire these beautiful does for my herd.
